Personal Care focuses on the essential Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) that allow seniors to live safely and comfortably at home. As mobility, strength, or memory changes over time, everyday routines can become challenging. At Care To Stay Home, our professional caregivers provide respectful, hands-on assistance while preserving dignity, privacy, and independence.
We understand that accepting personal care can feel vulnerable. That’s why our caregivers are carefully trained to provide support with compassion, discretion, and professionalism. Our goal is not to take over — but to empower each client to remain as independent as possible while ensuring safety and comfort.

The most popular questions
What is included in Personal Care services?
Personal Care includes hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility support, and medication reminders. Our caregivers provide respectful, professional support to ensure safety, comfort, and dignity at home.
How do I know if my loved one needs Personal Care?
If your loved one is struggling with hygiene, experiencing frequent falls, forgetting medications, or finding daily routines physically difficult, it may be time to consider Personal Care. Our Care Managers can conduct a free in-home evaluation to assess needs and recommend an appropriate plan.
Are caregivers trained to handle mobility and transfers safely?
Yes. Our caregivers are trained in safe transfer techniques, fall prevention strategies, and mobility assistance to protect both the client and themselves.
Can Personal Care be combined with other services?
Yes. Personal Care can be seamlessly integrated with Companion Care and Social Care to create a comprehensive, customized plan based on your loved one’s needs. All services are provided within our minimum scheduling structure of at least 4 hours per visit and 20 hours per week, ensuring consistency, continuity, and high-quality support for every client.
Does Medicare cover Personal Care services?
No, Medicare does not cover non-medical Personal Care services. However, we do work with Long-Term Care Insurance policies and can assist families with documentation and coordination when coverage is available.
