FAQs
The most popular questions
What is Companion Care?
Companion Care focuses on emotional support, social engagement, and meaningful interaction. It’s designed to reduce loneliness, provide mental stimulation, and improve overall quality of life.
Is Companion Care only for seniors who live alone?
No. Companion Care can benefit anyone experiencing isolation, recovering from illness, or needing additional social interaction — even if family members are actively involved and supportive.
Do you offer hospital or facility sitter services?
Yes. We provide bedside support in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and rehabilitation centers to ensure comfort and safety when family cannot be present.
What are your minimum scheduling requirements?
We schedule care with a minimum of 4 hours per visit and staff our caregivers for at least 20 hours per week. This structure allows us to provide consistent, high-quality care while ensuring continuity for your loved one.
Does Medicare cover Companion Care services?
No, Medicare does not cover non-medical Companion Care services. However, we do work with Long-Term Care Insurance policies and can assist families with documentation and coordination when coverage is available.
Payment Options for In-Home Care
At Care To Stay Home, we are a private-pay home care provider. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid, as these programs typically cover short-term medical or skilled services — not ongoing non-medical in-home care. Our services are designed for families seeking consistent, personalized support at home.
